Postcard & Card Printing Perth

from $68
★★★★★ 4.9 from 78 reviews

Full-colour postcard printing run on our Fujifilm digital press at our Fremantle shop. DL is the long, narrow format for rack cards and event invites; A6 is the classic letterbox postcard; A5 and A4 step up for menus, programs and direct-mail pieces that need more room. Sending bigger or longer runs to letterboxes? See our flyer printing for lighter-weight options on bulk distribution stock.

Six stocks cover almost every brief: 300 or 350gsm matt or gloss for the everyday, 420gsm artboard when the card needs to feel important in the hand, and 350gsm linen for a subtle textured finish. Upload a print-ready PDF at 300 DPI with 3mm bleed and our staff review every file before it gets sent to the printer. Standard turnaround is two to four business days; choose Rush for same-day click & collect on orders placed before 11am on a business day.

Product details

For invitations, thank-yous, save-the-dates and direct mail.

Postcards punch above their weight. The same flat rectangular shape covers direct mail drops, in-store handouts, save-the-dates, thank-yous, appointment reminders, loyalty cards and event invites. What changes between jobs is the size, the stock, and whether the back is read. The configurator handles all three. Picking the right stock is the lever that decides whether the card reads as disposable or as a piece of stationery worth keeping.

Sizing

Four standard sizes, all trimmed clean to size from our flatbed cutter. DL (99 × 210mm) is the long, narrow option for rack cards, event invites and slim direct mail; it fits a #10 envelope and a brochure rack. A6 (105 × 148mm) is the classic letterbox postcard, pocket-friendly and the cheapest format per piece. A5 (148 × 210mm) doubles the canvas for menus, programs and pieces with more to say. A4 (210 × 297mm) is the full-page option for menus, room cards and high-impact mailers. Custom sizes are quoted on request when the standard footprint does not fit the brief.

Stocks and finishes

Six stocks cover almost every brief, run through our Fujifilm digital press at our Fremantle shop. 300gsm matt and 300gsm gloss are the everyday picks: enough body to feel like a real card, light enough to keep postage friendly. 350gsm matt and 350gsm gloss step up the hand-feel where the extra weight matters (corporate save-the-dates, event invites). 420gsm artboard is the heavyweight pick: a rigid, soft-touch uncoated card that feels closer to a wedding invitation than a postcard. 350gsm linen has a subtle textured weave that adds tactile interest without bumping the weight. All stocks take ink consistently; matt and uncoated take handwriting and pen well, gloss lifts photography and dense colour.

Single or double-sided

Single-sided prints the front only and is the right call when the back is blank (the back of a save-the-date that you address by hand, for example). Double-sided uses the second face for contact details, a map, terms and conditions, a return address, or a loyalty stamp grid. Most postcards are double-sided because the marginal cost is small and the second side earns its keep almost every time.

Artwork

Upload a print-ready PDF at 300 DPI with 3mm bleed and crop marks. We also accept AI, EPS, PSD, TIFF and high-res JPG/PNG. For double-sided jobs, supply one PDF with two pages (page 1 front, page 2 back) or two single-page PDFs labelled front/back. Every file is reviewed by our staff in Fremantle before it gets sent to the printer, with a particular eye on type that sits too close to a trim and on photographs that would benefit from a light pre-press tune. No artwork yet? Our in-house studio can build the postcard from a logo and copy brief, quoted per job.

I’ve been a customer of Alan and the team at Docuprint in Fremantle for nearly 30 years, and they’ve never once let me down. Their customer service is exceptional, their pricing is always fair, and their turnaround times are fast. Most importantly, the quality of their work is consistently perfect. It’s rare to find a business that cares this much, and I’m grateful for everything they’ve done over the years.
