Product details

Business cards printed at our Fremantle shop.

Standard Australian business cards are 90 × 55mm, square or rounded corners, printed double-sided as default. We make them at our shop at 63 Queen Victoria St, Fremantle on a heavy 350gsm matt board, the standard weight across the AU print industry and heavier than the 250–300gsm cards typical of mass-market online printers. Six paper stocks, seven finishes, two turnaround tiers (Standard and Rush). Same-day click & collect is available on every standard and laminated option if you order before 11am on a business day.

Every order is printed and trimmed in-house, checked by our staff before it gets sent to the printer, and stacked on the front counter for free click & collect or sent flat-rate Australia-wide. If something looks wrong when it lands, we reprint it free.

Sizing and shape

  • 90 × 55mm is the Australian standard. Fits standard wallets, cardholders and the business-card slots on most desk organisers and badge holders sold here.
  • Square corners are the default. Sharp, classic, the cheapest option.
  • Rounded corners add a softer, more modern feel and stop the corners curling in pockets and bags. Available on every finish except foil.
  • Single or double-sided print on standard, laminated and waterproof cards. UV and foil cards are double-sided as default because the finishes only make sense when the back is printed too.

Stocks and finishes

Six paper stocks and seven finishes. The everyday workhorse is 350gsm matt on a standard finish: heavy enough to feel substantial, smooth enough to take ink cleanly.

  • Standard on 350gsm matt is what most Perth businesses pick.
  • Matt or gloss laminate seals both sides under a thin film. Matt feels velvety and cuts glare; gloss makes photography and bright colour blocks pop. Both add durability against fingerprints, water and pocket wear.
  • Raised spot UV lifts a clear varnish off the surface so logos and type have texture you can feel. The most-requested upgrade for design and creative agencies.
  • Flat spot UV applies gloss varnish to selected elements without the raised relief. Visible against a matt background but flat under the thumb.
  • Foil stamping in gold, silver or rose gold (custom on request). Real metallic foil pressed into the stock. Quote-based because the tooling is custom per design.
  • Waterproof is a 260-micron synthetic stock for trades, hospitality and anyone who needs a card that survives rain, oil and a glove box.

Heavier stocks (420gsm artboard) and textured stocks (recycled, linen) sit in the Paper Stock options on the configurator.

Artwork

Every file is opened and reviewed by our staff in Fremantle before it gets sent to the printer. If we spot a bleed issue, a low-res image, a missing font, or RGB colours that won't survive the CMYK conversion, we email or call you before printing.

Upload a print-ready PDF at 300 DPI with 3mm bleed. We also accept AI, EPS, PSD, TIFF and high-res JPG/PNG. Every file gets checked for:

  • Bleed and safe margins
  • Low-res images
  • Font embedding
  • RGB-to-CMYK colour drift
  • UV/foil layer alignment (on premium finishes)

If you don't have artwork yet, our in-house designers can build a card from a logo or brand guide. Quoted per job based on scope. Get my quote with design included →

Turnaround and delivery

Business card printing

What business card printing costs, and how long it takes.

Most people who need business cards want three answers before they order: the price, the day they can pick them up, and what file to send. Here they are, with the numbers the configurator above uses.

Price

$86100 cards
$114250 cards
$136500 cards
$1491,000 cards

Those are double-sided cards on 350gsm matt, the stock most orders use, at the Standard turnaround. Going from 100 to 1,000 cards adds $63, so the cost sits in the setup, not the card count. The cheapest card we make is 50 single-sided on 300gsm uncoated at $49. Matt or gloss laminate adds about $50 at 100 cards. Foil is quoted per job because the die is made for your design.

Change the stock, quantity or turnaround in the configurator and the price updates before you upload anything.

Time

Standard cards are ready in two to four business days. Rush cards are ready the same day: order standard or laminated cards before 11am on a business day and collect them that afternoon. Rush on 100 double-sided 350gsm matt is $121 against $86 for Standard.

Spot UV, raised UV and waterproof cards are not available same day. Allow the Standard window for those. Foil is 5 to 10 working days because the tooling is made per design.

What to send

A PDF at 300 DPI with 3mm bleed. The finished card is 90 × 55mm, so the file is 96 × 61mm with bleed. AI, EPS, PSD, TIFF and high-resolution JPG or PNG also work.

A person in the shop opens every file before it prints. If the bleed is short, an image is soft, or the colours are RGB, we email or call you first. No artwork yet? Our designers build a card from your logo, quoted per job. Get a quote with design included →

Docuprint were incredible from my first call to the finished product. Ipek and Aiden's understanding of my need to attach a barcode to the label ( and did a few alterations along they way) were courteous and got the job done quickly. Highly recommend Docuprint Fremantle as it seems nothing is too much trouble for this team.. Thank you again 👍

Docuprint has been fantastic in providing high-quality banners and flags for our early childhood education and care centres. The team is always easy to communicate with, helpful throughout the process, and consistently delivers products that look amazing. There’s a reason we’ve come back to order multiple times :)

Ipek and Alan are absolutely amazing! There is never a job too big, too complicated or too small for them. They are knowledgeable about so many aspects of this industry and you definitely feel looked after. Communication is great and all my printing jobs both for my business and personal are done and charged at a reasonable rate. There has been many times where they have met short deadlines and will work hard to have all things ready. Great team and I could t recommend them enough!!
