For backlit work, a dark background with light type and graphics works best
Keep important content 20 to 30mm in from the edge, so the lightbox frame does not crop it

Does the price include the lightbox?

No. The price covers the printed lightbox film insert only. The lightbox housing (frame, LED panel, power supply) is supplied separately, either from your existing fixture or sourced through a signage retailer. If you need a recommendation on a housing supplier in Perth, get in touch.

What's the difference between lightbox and paper posters?

Lightbox posters print on translucent film designed for backlit display. Light passes through the film evenly and the print looks bright when illuminated. Paper posters print on 260gsm poster paper for front-lit display where you read the print under room lighting. Use lightbox film for menu boards, illuminated retail displays and exhibition panels; use paper for noticeboard, in-window and wall display.

Can you print larger than A0?

Yes, on quote. The wide format printer takes media up to 1626mm (64in) wide, so custom larger sizes are possible. Send us your dimensions and artwork and we will quote it within a business day.

How should I design for a backlit print?

Dark backgrounds with light-coloured type and graphics tend to look the most dramatic when illuminated. The dark areas stay solid while the lit elements pop. Avoid hairline solid black areas which can hot-spot. Keep important content away from the lightbox frame edges (typically 20-30mm) so the housing does not crop it.

Do you deliver Australia-wide?

Yes. Free click & collect from 63 Queen Victoria St, Fremantle, or courier delivery Australia-wide, priced by postcode at checkout. Delivered lightbox film comes rolled in a tube to protect the print surface.
