MDF Mounting
This service includes high-quality poster printing on premium paper, mounted to a sturdy 9mm MDF board with a black edge and matt lamination for protection. Heavy, rigid, museum-quality matt finish. Pricing is per printed and mounted panel, charged by the quantity you select.

Sizes
A3 (297 × 420mm), A2 (420 × 594mm), A1 (594 × 841mm), A0 (841 × 1189mm). Trimmed flush to the printed sheet (no border) by default. Below A3 the mount weight outpaces the value; switch to foamboard or a framed print at smaller sizes.
Finish
Matt laminate is the default. Matt does not throw reflections under direct lighting (gallery downlights, foyer spotlights, conference-room sidelighting). Gloss laminate is available on quote if you specifically need a higher-sheen finish, but matt is the right choice for 95% of mounted-display use.
Turnaround

MDF Mounting FAQs
What is the difference between foamboard and MDF mounting?
Foamboard is paper-faced rigid foam core, 10mm thick, light enough to hang by hooks. MDF is a 9mm timber panel, heavy and durable enough for permanent wall mounting. Foamboard for exhibition and short-medium-term display; MDF for permanent or long-life display.
Do you print the artwork, or do I supply it?
We print the artwork as part of the job. Upload your print-ready file at checkout and we handle printing, & mounting. If you would rather supply your own flat, dry, trim-ready print, drop it to 63 Queen Victoria St, Fremantle and we will mount it for the per-panel price shown above; ask for the mount-only rate when you order.
How do I hang an MDF mount?
Each MDF panel ships with string attached for hanging. For larger A1 and A0 pieces, or a more permanent mount in a high-traffic space, a French cleat or two wall fixings is more secure.
Is MDF mounting weatherproof?
No, MDF is an indoor material; sustained moisture or direct rain will warp the panel. For outdoor or covered-outdoor signage, see corflute signs or aluminium signs in the signage range.
