Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about printing with Docuprint.
Printing & Products
Yes! We offer same-day printing on a wide range of products including business cards, flyers, brochures, and posters. To qualify, place your order and submit print-ready artwork before 11am AWST (Monday to Friday). Just select the *Rush* turnaround option when adding to your cart.
Same-day means your order is printed and ready for click & collect that day. Orders made with the Rush turnaround after 11am are ready the next day.
Rush turnaround covers the printing, not the delivery, so shipped orders still have transit time on top.
We offer a variety of paper stocks to suit different needs:
- Gloss. A slight shine, ideal for vibrant photos and marketing materials
- Matte / Matt. Smooth, non-reflective finish for a professional, understated look
- Card stock. Heavier weight for business cards, postcards, and covers
Not sure which is right for your project? You're welcome to visit our store in Fremantle, where we have a stock sample booklet at the front counter.
No, we don't accept customer-supplied paper stock. To ensure consistent quality and compatibility with our printing equipment, all jobs are printed on our carefully selected in-house stock options. If you have specific paper requirements, let us know and we'll recommend the best match from our range.
Yes, we can produce a test print or proof for larger or more complex jobs so you can check colours, layout, and stock before committing to the full run. Test prints start from $25 depending on the job, though its usually not much higher. Ask us when you request your quote.
No minimum order quantity. We're happy to print just one copy if that's what you need. Please note there is a $45 minimum order value when we quote. We'll let you know the total during that quoting process.
File Setup & Artwork
We really prefer PDF, which is the print industry standard.
PDFs come with lots of hidden information inside, and lock the location of all of your artwork. This ensures that the file you give us looks the same on the screen as it does when it comes off the press. For the best quality, provide PDF.
We also accept the following file formats:
.AI, .EPS, .PSD, .INDD, .TIFF, .JPEG, .PNG
In a pinch we can also accept .PPTX & .DOCX, but please note a conversion fee may apply - it's easier if you save these to .PDF yourself before supplying them to us.
Again, for the best results, supply your artwork as a high-resolution PDF with 3mm bleed and all fonts outlined or embedded. If you're unsure, just send what you have and we'll check it for you.
For sharp, professional results, your images should be at least 300 DPI (dots per inch) at the final print size. That is probably a higher resolution than you think.
The best files are built with vectors, rather than pixels, as these scale infinitely and look perfectly crisp at any size.
Images pulled from websites are usually 72 DPI and will appear blurry or pixelated when printed. If you're unsure about your image quality, send it through and we'll let you know before printing.
We will always let you know if something is going to look too blurry for print, but if your file is "good enough", we will print as supplied.
You can submit your files in several ways:
The best way to upload files to us is via our send files form.
Alternatively you can email them to us directly at sales@docuprint.com.au
In the event that you have files that are too large for the online portal & our email, you can use services such as Dropbox, Google Drive or WeTransfer and email us a sharing link.
If you have put an order through but have last minute changes to your artwork, contact us via email or phone - if your job is yet to be printed we can always update the artwork to your latest version.
No worries, our team can review your files and advise on any changes needed. Common issues we fix include low resolution images, missing bleed, incorrect colour mode (RGB vs CMYK), and font problems. Minor adjustments are often included at no extra charge. For more extensive changes, we'll provide a quote for design work before proceeding. One thing to note for same-day: the 11am cutoff assumes your files are print-ready. If we spot a problem we'll try to call or email you to sort it quickly, but same-day depends on the artwork being good to go, so a file that needs fixing may push your job to the next business day.
We do our best to match your brand colours accurately. For the most precise colour matching, supply your files with Pantone (PMS) colour references or CMYK values. Note that colours on screen (RGB) will always look slightly different when printed (CMYK) due to the different colour systems. For colour-critical jobs, we recommend a test print to confirm the result before the full run.
Design Services
Yes! Our in-house design team can help with everything from business cards and flyers to banners, signage, and complete brand identity packages. Whether you need a design created from scratch or modifications to an existing layout, we've got you covered. Request a quote and let us know what you need.
Yes. For all custom and design jobs, we provide a digital proof (PDF) for your approval before printing begins. You'll have the chance to review the layout, text, and colours and request any changes. We won't go to print until you've given the go-ahead, so there are no surprises.
Turnaround & Delivery
Standard turnaround is 2 to 4 business days for most products. More complex jobs like booklets, large-format signage, or high-volume runs can take longer. Need it sooner? Rush printing is a paid option on many products, ready for same-day click & collect when you order before 11am (next business day otherwise). Rush speeds up the printing, not the delivery, so if you are shipping, transit time is added on top. Just let us know your deadline when requesting a quote and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Absolutely. You can collect your order from our Fremantle store at 63 Queen Victoria Street, Fremantle WA 6160 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm). We'll notify you by email or phone as soon as your order is ready for click & collect.
Yes, we deliver anywhere in Australia. Local Perth metro orders can often be delivered next business day. Interstate delivery typically takes 2–5 business days depending on location. We'll provide delivery timeframes and costs when you receive your quote.
