Portrait A4 saddle-stitched booklet

Booklet Printing Perth

from $185
★★★★★ 4.9 from 78 reviews

Saddle-stitch is our most cost-effective and fastest binding. We run a top-spec Plockmatic inline booklet maker in our Fremantle shop: print, fold, staple along the spine, and trim to the finished size all happen in one pass off the press.

Page counts work in multiples of 4, from 8 up to 52 pages. Coated stocks (Matt and Gloss) suit photo-heavy work like lookbooks and brochures; Uncoated and Recycled read better for catalogues, manuals, and event programmes.

Supply press-ready PDFs or send your working files and our in-house studio will set them up. Standard turnaround is two to four business days; choose Rush if you need them ready sooner.

Product details

For catalogues, menus, programs and company profiles.

Saddle-stitch binding (two staples through the spine) is the right choice for booklets up to about 64 pages: it lies flat enough to read comfortably, it is sturdy enough for repeated handling, and it is fast to produce. Landscape A4 is the popular pick for menus and look books; portrait A5 is the workhorse for event programs and training manuals. We can quote heavier or shorter print runs on request.

Sizing

A4 portrait (210 × 297mm) for catalogues, training manuals and company profiles. A4 landscape (210 × 297mm) for menus, look books and photo-heavy decks. A5 portrait (148 × 210mm) for event programs and pocket guides. A5 landscape (210 × 148mm) for compact promotional booklets. Page counts run from 8 to 64 in multiples of 4 (the page count must be a multiple of 4 because of how saddle stitch imposes).

Stocks and finishes

Pick 150, 170 or 200gsm for both cover and internal pages, depending on the feel you want. 150gsm reads as a magazine, 170gsm as a quality program, 200gsm as a heavier brochure. Gloss or matt lamination is available on the cover for extra durability and finish. Contact us if you want a heavier cover stock paired with a lighter text.

Artwork

Upload one print-ready PDF per order with all pages in sequence and 3mm bleed. Single-page PDFs work, but multi-page PDFs make our imposition step faster and reduce the chance of pages being shuffled. We also accept AI and InDesign packages on request. Every file is reviewed by our staff in Fremantle before it gets sent to the printer.

I'm so glad I chose Docuprint for a couple of items for a funeral. The whole process of uploading the files was very fast, easy and without a hitch. The items were printed ahead of schedule and for a price I couldn't find anywhere else. Thanks Docuprint. I will be choosing you again for any printing I need. Cheers. Juliet

Ipek was just wonderful. As a graphic designer she was able to help with changes I needed on the pdf and provide advice on best way to go. I also needed a quick turnaround and she was able to do this for me. I will definately be using Docuprint again. Natalie

I’ve been a customer of Alan and the team at Docuprint in Fremantle for nearly 30 years, and they’ve never once let me down. Their customer service is exceptional, their pricing is always fair, and their turnaround times are fast. Most importantly, the quality of their work is consistently perfect. It’s rare to find a business that cares this much, and I’m grateful for everything they’ve done over the years.

FAQ

Commonly asked.

A print-ready PDF with all pages in sequence (the same order they should appear in the finished booklet) and 3mm bleed. AI and packaged InDesign files are also fine on request. Single-page PDFs are accepted but multi-page PDFs are easier for us to impose.
